Ministry
How can I even begin to say all God has done this past quarter? This has been one of the most eventful periods of ministry in the entirety of my 13 years of preaching. Here in the States God blessed us to reach almost to 75% of our needed support just in time for the one year mark since we began full time deputation. We had the privilege of helping lead a few lost souls to Christ and counsel some young men praying about serving God. Of course we travelled and preached a lot too; as far west as Kansas, as far north as South Dakota, and now as far south as Florida. While in Belgium we had some awesome opportunities in street ministry and a tremendous response to the preaching of God’s word. We had the chance to work one on one with several people who want me to call them and meet to discuss the gospel more when I return. Thousands of gospel tracts were distributed and are still being given even in my absence. Most excitingly a young lady from Romania joined our group there and has began to attend our skype services and help in the distribution of the gospel. In Romania we had one of our greatest blessings, not only were we allowed to preach and visit some churches there, but we also had the privilege of baptizing two of the young believers my wife had lead to the Lord years ago, her two youngest siblings, they have been my most faithful in coming to the skype services we have done each week for the past two years. It was our privilege to partner with Bro. Patrick Boyle who was their pastor and my wife’s for several years while he served in Romania and with Bro. Jim Morgan the local missionary who had led my wife and most of her family to the Lord. Bro. Boyle now pastors here in the states and was there to perform the wedding for my wife and I, due to his past relationship with them and my ordination service being soon but not yet happened at that point he performed the baptism as well, under the authority of Bro. Morgan’s church. I believe in doing all things decent and in order so I just share this so you can see how God brings all things together, the three men who have served like pastors to them all had a hand in the baptism and my wife who led them to the Lord was present as well. It is exciting to me to see young people asking to follow the Lord and make their faith public. Look for pictures of the baptism attached to this letter. Due to all of the exciting things God has done this letter will be two pages long with the personal section on the next page. We have a full schedule with only a few services open between now and the end of the year, mostly near Thanksgiving and Christmas. I mention this incase any pastor around home wants to do a special service in that time before we head off to Belgium at the end of January. If interested the dates are November 23rd, December 21st, 25th, and 28th.
Pray
Pray for Loredana to receive her visa in time for the date scheduled for the wedding.
Pray for God to continue to pour in the support needed and to guide the churches that are praying about supporting.
Pray for the people there in Belgium and Romania, God is doing some exciting things in their lives.
Pray for the lost we were able to deal with in Belgium.
Pray for the young men I have had an opportunity to counsel with about serving the Lord.
Pray for my very busy schedule throughout the remainder of the year.
Pray for some churches here in the states: one I was with recently where it seems God is doing a work of revival and another that their pastor went to be with the Lord unexpectedly.
Personal
Let me start by saying on June 11th, 2016 I had the blessed privilege of marrying my best friend and the best help I have ever had in the ministry, Loredana Radu, now Loredana Haley. I could fill letters telling you how beautiful, smart and godly she is but I will spare you that and try to keep on track. We had the wedding in Romania with all of her friends and family, as well as the former missionary that was her pastor there to perform the wedding. God blessed us and everything came together like pieces of a puzzle however Loredana didn’t get her visa in time to return with me and so after only two weeks of marriage I had to leave her to get back to work here. Since then she has been approved for her visa by God working a miracle to answer your prayers. I have met many in this process that it took years to get through it or at the shortest at least one year. The night before Loredana’s final interview where the decision would be made, about 100 churches joined us and prayed for God to grant her the visa. After only about five months of fighting this process, God gave us the visa, that is answered prayers for all to see. I can honestly say in this process there were many disappointments but one thing I learned is this, I may have been disappointed in circumstances but I have never been disappointed in God, He is faithful. We are now waiting to actually receive the visa packet in the mail which leads me to our next obstacle in the road, where once again I will need God’s people to join in prayer with us. I by faith and with much prayer have set the date of our American wedding for 6:00 pm on August 19th in Bassett, VA at Fairystone Lake. The issue to pray about is that originally we were told the visa should have arrived in plenty of time for that, now we are being told there is a small possibility that it might not arrive until the day before, making a wedding on that date impossible if that were the case. I prayed deeply about that date and saw in my schedule it is the only date in the remotely near future that would work so I believe it was God’s will to set that date and we are going to go forward by faith believing God will have her here in time for it, I only ask you all to join us in praying for this. Let me also officially state that we are openly inviting everyone of our friends and family to come out and be a part of this wedding, so if your church is receiving this letter and you want to come, you are welcome to do so. One thing I ask is some churches have expressed coming as a group or bringing a van load of people, if you are organizing who is coming in order to have a general idea, if you could email me at the email address on the side column and let me know just so I can get even a vague idea of who all might be there. I do not say that to discourage anyone, I actually am humbled by the massive support of people wanting to come and do appreciate your attendance but due to being on a Friday evening and because of the distance for many, I do understand if you are not able. Thank you each for your prayers through every step of this, I am attaching photos of the wedding with this letter and you can expect us to be getting updated prayer cards and prayer letters as soon as Loredana reaches here. Please just remember to pray for the wedding and visa situation, as well as her flight over here since that will be coming very soon, Praise the Lord. I very much appreciate your time in reading this lengthy update and I do promise not to let this become habitual, in the future I will send multiple letters in a quarter if it is this eventful.
Thank you all for your continual prayers concerning myself and the ministry, you are all a blessing and a much needed part of the ministry . Most of you will never know how much of a help you are to me, at least not on this side of eternity.
With Sincere Gratitude, Bro. junior Haley
